Well, I think the thing is that *nobody* is universally liked. You seem to have a worse time than most finding people who are civil to you -- I have no idea why that is. Is it possible for you to write a list of people who have been kind to you in the past? Then you can look at it to remind yourself that you're not universally reviled. I remember you saying something about a coffee shop attendant who remembered you -- can you put him/her first on the list?
