I have seen the mention of prolactin here, but I have never paid attention.

My breasts became full, as if milk came in for a baby. It has been SO many years, yet I clearly remember the sensation. It's exactly that sensation. I know it sometimes happens to me when I hear someone's baby cry, but today it happened at work, with no babes in sight. No pain, just fullness.

Is that a sign of a high prolactin level? If it is a problem, can it wait until a regular office visit in 3 weeks or should I call the p-doc? What determines the level - a blood test? Which one of my drugs can cause it?

To preempt the obvious question: I do not know where on my cycle I am. I wear Mirena IUD and fall into 30% of women for whom it turns menstrual bleeding into irregular and very light spotting. It's a normal and convenient side effect.
