This is crazy, but I had almost the exact same experience a few weeks ago. My fiance has a ****** memory and he's somewhat lazy to boot. He keeps "forgetting" to mow the lawn and it got so bad the borough came and did it for us one week, which was triggering for me since they just showed up in my yard and started mowing while I was home alone with my daughter.

Anyway, the yard was getting bad again and he wasn't making time to mow it. We had a fight about something and I told him he was perfectly capable of doing whatever it was. He responded with "well, YOU'RE perfectly capable of mowing the lawn!" Something in me just snapped and I said "you're right, I am." I put on my shoes and mowed a lawn for the first time in my life, completely out of spite. He kept begging me to just let him do it because I don't think he actually thought I'd call his bluff.
