dazed......Yes of course, I agree, even if the meds don't make a difference immediately, at least you'd know that you were doing something positive for yourself, and that in itself might help your state-of-being a little. Then if they help in the long run.....even better! And I'm sorry, maybe I'm missing something, but that thing they said about psychiatrists and meds making things worse.....HUH??!! Not that you asked, but I will say that if I was you I would look to someone else for help. Just my humble opinion. Sending good thoughts.....

ps....Oh and one more thng, have you considered calling Suicide Prevention? They are very kind and supportive people
