We had an assembly, in which the teachers were introduced, one by one, to the entire school, and when the principal introduced me, a thunderous applause rose up, nonstop...till the principal had to stop them! I honestly had NO idea students liked me so much! Truly! It makes all the oppressive thoughts I was having, after all the meetings, requirements, "suveillance by admins" and all the forms, surveys, and observations seem unimportant.

edit: Oh, and I hope this doesn't sound like I'm bragging. I've had great anxiety about returning to work and feeling inferior.
