I've given her lots of stuff, but nothing that I expected to get back later.

She once loaned me a book. I haven't finished reading all of it (it's a little boring), so I haven't returned it. That was three years ago. She's no doubt forgotten all about it. I can return it...I should return it. But I don't want to. Maybe I'm afraid that as long as I hold onto it, she'll always be around for me. Which is stupid since she's given me a ton of stuff to hold on to. And yet, I don't plan to give her her book back. Not unless she asks for it.
