The way your doctor talked to you doesn't entirely make sense to me... I was prescribed medication through my general doctor for many years, and only recently sought the help of a psychiatrist... As for you doctor telling you to go to the ER, she is mandated I'm sure to say that if you tell her you are considering Su. But I tend to agree with whimsygirl, I would seek help from a different doctor possibly?

It is unfortunate that you are reaching out for help and not getting it yet. Please don't give up, you are taking the right steps! I don't really know what your diagnosis is as I can't diagnose people. But it does sound like you have some issues going on with depression, and depression is very treatable. Medication helps alleviate symptoms for most people who take them. And therapy can also help. Both of those things have done wonders for me!
