Alright.. I've been ill since the start of the year so its meant I haven't been able to keep up my old active lifestyle. Last week I went to the gym for the first time and I think i've done something to my shoulder. I was lifting weights and felt fine while doing it, but around 3-4 hours afterwards i started to get a burning/searing pain and like a dull ache? Well.. Its been about 4-5 days now and my shoulder is now quite purple and very swollen. I'm not much of a fuss maker so I was going to wait until Tuesday when I can see a doctor but does anyone know what the issue is likely to be or how to soothe it until then? I've tried ice and warmth but neither of them have helped. Its interfering with my sleep and i cant get comfortable whatever i do, using that particular arm is a pain in the *** at the moment as well.
