This sounds similar to some things I have experienced. I'd definately recommend consulting your general health care provider. I've had this happen when my blood sugar dropped, I've also had it when I fainted from low blood pressure and it was similar when I had a seizure, but it was different as well. But the feelings are similar.
It could be small, or it could be serious, please have this looked into. The dizziness as shows me a red flag. I have psychological blackouts as well, but they don't start with dizziness, only the medical ones for me. Please have yourself checked out, if nothing else but to rule out any medical conditions.
