Just a word of explanation: Oftentimes, Internet forums will require a new member to make a set number of posts before they can PM, or place a new member on moderation for their first 5 or 10 posts (meaning their posts have to be read and approved by the site moderators before being allowed out on the boards).

This is to prevent people from spamming the forums with harmful or nonsensical posts and to discourage trolling, as few people intent on disrupting a forum will wait out the required time or make the requisite number of "quality" posts. It's not personal......everybody has to go through it. If you have questions about this practice, you can always approach the site moderators or read the terms of service (I think it's called Forum Guidelines here).
