^^ I also second this.
I forget it is pre-release, so in a few days there will be more people. And, more people for the next few weeks in general. And this is also prime time for people to decide they hate it and quit, so until the population stabalizes, it will be hard to make friends.
Oh, another thought about GW2 that you don't have with other MMOs... overflow servers. Might make it hard to make friends outside of a guild, because people you meet on overflow you might never meet again.
