Granite, she probably felt a lot of empathy and sympathy for you. She was thinking about how awful it would be for a little girl to have to go through that. I think you're misinterpreting that as being disgusted with YOU. It's not you - she is horrified that the mother could do such awful things. Don't think it is about you - it is about the mother.
