I have not been in combat, but found this post, I hope it is okay that I reply to it. Before I start, thank you for your service...

As far as taking paperwork to prove you were in combat, maybe ask the office where you are going if they require that information? (I'm sorry that I don't know the answer to that one!)

When I had an intake evaluation, it was a lot of written stuff, kind of like a quiz. They ask the same questions in different ways to try to get an honest answer...but that was my experience. I don't know what others experiences have been, or if psych evals differ from state to state. I guess it depends, as well on what kind of psych eval it is? Like if its for a job, sometimes you talk to the dept. psychologist, but if it's a neuropsych eval, there is other things involved too.

I probably left you with more questions; I hope that I helped somehow, but I am sure someone else will chime in hopefully with a better answer!!!
