I already am on permanent disability. After 2 yrs medicare will kick in. I don't get much from SSdisability. In the years whenI could have been a working mother....my kids had a huge amount of needs...especialy my daughter with her being so mentally impaired. What I did for 6 & 1/2 yrs was to deliver a local newspaper to 400 customers 7 days @wk...356 days@yr. I was "self-employed...so no money went into SS. After that I was a church secretary for 6 & 1/2 yrs. I worked part time and was able to be home when my kids needed me. The job offered a lot of flexibility so it worked well. The newspaper delivery...when I look back on it...I honestly don't know how I did it...crazy...I guess.....but I was able to se my kids off to school..get my route done...then be home when they arrived home. There are things I wish I had done differently....but then I guess we all have our regrets.
Looking for a brighter future now
Sweet
