You could do it ! And also , I haven't read all posts but complex carbs (starches) are important for you because it gives you energy (carbs are the best source of energy). Just limit sugar intake (simple carbs/double carbs) and you'll be fine in losing weight , just make your diet healthy and at the same time mix with some exercise!
