Well, I am the same way with my job search. the state i live in has nothing but crap low paying jobs and the good paying ones either want over 5 yrs of experience or not hiring. I have a degree in Network Admin no certifications (not sure when will i get those) but i have done IT as a hobby for over 17 yrs that is NOT WORK EXPERIENCE but i do not have field work experience. it does not count because i was not getting paid and yes i was told that by an IT manager at my ex college and at recent workshops i have attended.
i know i have been applying online waiting for a call and expecting an interview. i am so hurting financially that i can not attend networking events and where i live, everything is spread out (live in a city not far away from the capital) u need a car to get from point A to point B.
everything that people have told me has nothing been crap for job advice. it does not fit well for me, my age, my degree, and lack of experience. the advice needs to be better depending on people's situation. my situation is worse just like those who are in the same boat. volunteering is out of the question sorry that is not paying my bills.
temp agencies are such crap i havent heard back from the one i went to in july 2012. i swear nobody in this depression has an actual answer for anything such useless people. there isn't much hope for anybody out there in this world if u ask me.
