Yes, you just rub it in like any oil, but it has pain numbing properties when absorbed through the skin, and no, it does not get you high at all. You have to have a medicinal card to buy it, though. Sis got mine from the dispensary. My mom uses it on her knee, to, to control arthritis and pain in her knee from a ripped meniscus.

I haven't tried any of this yet, but a friend of mine has and swears by it. I just ordered a free sample to see if it helps, and it's legal in the US. Its called HempEaze. It's derived from the cannabis ROOT which has no THC in it (active ingredient in weed) and several other herbs known to be healing. It is $3.50 for a sample. Update: It is not legal in Massachusetts, but it looks like it is on the November ballot, so it could be legalized very soon.
