There are some helpful kinds in the stores, and a better selection in the pharmacies or athletic foot stores than at the groceries. If it is a job I will be on my feet all day, I look for the ones that have: some "squish/cushion" to them (for lack of a better term) and some give to them, more build up to them in the heal and in the arch (sculpted), and not just the flat foam kind. Sometimes I have even been known to combine the two, sculpted ones and foam. If you want to find custom ones for less than to visit to the podiatrist, there are Dr. Scholl's foot centers/stands around and can go online to find a location near you.
