Some people are more apt to get keloid scars which are more severe than regular scars. Not everyone gets these -- I don't know WHY some people get these more severe scars than others, but if you google it, you might find out. Just "google" Keloid scars and it should tell you something.
I know my Mother was more susceptible than others to keloid scarring. In fact she had some surgery for keloid scars.
