It will hurt worse if you DO have it and it goes untreated! Would you want your child treated by someone with borderline personality disorder who hadn't been treated by anyone, and was "unstable?" I wouldn't. I would be more secure in knowing that my child's counelor had been thru therapy herself! At least I'd know she knew what she was talking about.
I don't think it should have any affect on your getting hired since your counselor would give you the "ok" in going on with your life. I wouldn't worry about it.
