I think us bipolar people are very sensitive to certain things. We are very self-destructive. We are excellent projectors of what we think is happening and it becomes real to us. That's the whole "paranoia" thing, you know? It's not just thinking "what if they don't like me." It's suddenly, and fully, believing: "well, obviously they don't like me because of ________." And paranoia is a powerful thing once it has you.
