Haha, sorry, my mother is like that too. Though, she really has bipolar but won't go medicated/treated and she doesn't need it either. She is very successful. Weeks of her swinging from the rafters followed by weeks of her sleeping was my childhood. That was normal.

It was quite the shock for me to find out that going through phases of happiness and insomnia and depressions wasn't "normal" and still I don't quite believe it!

You see, I've lived with my crazy mother and family. That "bipolar" was normal to me.

Other than college room mates (and who really sleeps in college?) And my husband who has the bipolar label too, I've never lived with anyone to show me otherwise.

People will say things but, I'm not entirely aware of my own moods all the time so, why believe people?
