it is always a party when either I or my mother are there; both of us, and it is Super Bowl. but she becomes ashamed of me at times, that I am not like the others, that I am fat, not married, do not have children, so lately things have not been good for us. I am 60 years old, so those things are not likely to change. I once asked her, if I had a child on my own, if she would help me, and she said no, so I don't see how she can complain now.

anyway, very good thread, venus. it is interesting to read about so many others' crazy and exciting moms too!
