I vacationed with her this summer in Ukraine and my mom was EXTREMELLY friendly with locals, trying to strike conversations with random people. In Sevastopol which is a former close city (and still has military zones that are closed to public) she came to some guy in restaurant with map, asking "what are those pink zones in the map? Are they military zones? Can you go there? I wanna see!". All the time I was thinking if you can get banished from the city . We had mom's friend with us, who thought at times she went on trip to eastern europe with two lunatics

Reminds me of me and my daughter, I'm the annoying chatty mom, and she's the lovely venus with the long auburn hair

She's just all chill, icey and mellow, rolls her eyes at me lol.

But we have a good time too! Or so I think haha.
