Depression can have many symptoms. Loss of appetite is a good one; fatigue; apathy; weepiness; loss of interest in hobbies, friends, but I guess that goes in with apathy;

Depression can affect people in different ways, but the above symptoms are probably the most common. Some people don't even know they're depressed, probably because it's come on slowly and they haven't noticed it. Then if their doctor puts them on an antidepressant, and it begins working, they're alarmed at how much better they feel! They didn't know they had felt that terribly low!

Therapy is probably the best solution for depression, as you get to the root of the problem. Once you find out the reason for depression, you can work on getting rid of the cause so it never comes back again. But some of us have clinical depression which is where the chemicals and hormones in the brain are lacking, and have to be replaced by medication so that they feel better. That is what has happened to me, as i've been depressed since I was a very small child. I don't remember feeling "normal" whatever that is. LOL

I wish you the very best. Sorry I'm so long-winded. God bless & take care. Hugs, Lee
