I just got out of an in-patient facility in San Clemente for bi-polar, acute anxiety & major depressive disorder. It is so weird to be back in the "real world"!!!

I have issues with compulsive spending and The Abbey is one of the only in-patient facilities in the nation that specifically treats this disorder, so that is my main reason for going there. I was told by their intake specialists that if I had not already been treated for my psych issues, I would not be a candidate for The Abbey, but since I had, I could be admitted. They said that they only admitted after prior treatment, do I guess I assumed that the patients w/drug & alcohol issues would have already had testament as well.

Guess I have a few more questions for them!!
