Hi there, I am a 2nd grade teacher and had to overcome a lot of fears and insecurities on my path to becoming a teacher... Are you naturally good at working with kids? I assume yes, it sounds like it! I learned to separate it a bit over time. Meaning I am able to leave my personal feelings about things at the door when I work with kids. I'm not sure how to explain it better than that... It took time to do that, and I'm not sure if that makes sense.

As for how to get over your fears and gain confidence? I think it's just getting in there and doing the work. If you are good at it, and I trust you are, then it will come to you. And working through the bullying issues once you get back into therapy will help too.

I don't know if any of that is helpful... But, since I'm a teacher I'd love to talk about it more sometime as you get in there and start working! If you ever want to PM me I'd love to hear how it is going for you! Good luck. I hope it goes well for you!
