Oh Dan, that's cold. Sorry you had to endure that attitude from them. My attempt was actually in the hospital. A friend told the school guidance counselor that I had been suicidal and my parents took me in that weekend. I was inpatient for two months, but that didn't stop my parents from remodeling the kitchen while I was gone
- I think they were glad to get rid of me for a while, actually. But I got the help. I'm glad you eventually got help too.
If that were to happen today and a parent didn't do anything about it, the social worker would bring in child services to intervene. Scary stuff.
