Hi. Your coughing is a sign of something serious going on. You really need to see a doctor even if you don't want to. If you need to wait til morning, prop several pillows behind your back so that you are reclining a bit instead of lying down flat. This position will allow you to breathe better and maybe help quiet the coughing a little. It's often done in the hospital for patients with breathing or heart problems.
