Everything you said in your first post are all symptoms of major depression. It might be a good idea to discuss with your counselor about seeing a psychiatrist. When people have the symptoms you are having they have such low moods that they really need medication to get them out of that ditch. I think therapy and meds help the most. Maybe if you were less depressed just therapy would be ok but your symptoms are pretty serious. But it sounds like you know yourself well and are handling the situation and are trying to get better. Therapy takes time. Give yourself some credit you are doing a lot. Let us know how your therapy is going, if you don't like your therapist don't be afraid to try another one, sometimes it takes a few changes to find a good match.
