This is too funny. As I started the article, I remembered a conversation with my psych. I'd been hearing a lot more music and voices than usual. She asked if there had been a fan on. I recalled that there probably was at least some of the times. Not to worry, she said, that happens to a lot of people. With a little nervous laugh, I said, "Oh. Ok. Good. Haha, yeah, it's probably just brains trying to interpret random stuff into something recognizable." (I didn't know it was an actual phenomenon with a name! Lol, I was just yammering.) So, cool. It has a name. Today's word of the day for sure. Also interesting that it applies both to sound and sight, because the auditory kind of worried me a bit, whereas the visual I do all.the.time. and it never phased me in the least. Very much enjoy it, even. Looked it up on Wikipedia and it has a nice Leonardo da Vinci quote. That's what I'm talkin' 'bout Leo! Lol.

Thanks for posting the article on MES, Moose. Interesting stuff. The vent thing... maybe some kind of air system motor/sound/whatever that was running one time, but not the other? The manic thing might be going on, and maybe they're linked, but maybe they're not. With it just happening that one time, it's probably nothing to worry about. 'Course, no harm in writing it on your chart if you want.

Hope you're feeling evened out soon and get some good rest.
