I hear you. I HAD something in my past when my current job did a background check in June: my DL was taken from me in 2009 because my GP reported that I was bp and impulsive, and I only got the license back this year, and the record stays forever, and I have been told by the DMV that companies usually look at the most recent 3-5 years, and have a discretion not to hire someone because of that. I passed the background check, but it sure took forever!
