Everyone wants to be happy. Don't you? We do many things because it makes us happy. Unfortunately, the things we do does not really lead the path to happiness. So, what does?
Well, McCullough and Emmons asked themselves this question. They did a research. They a assigned participants into three groups. One group would write 5 things they were grateful for, another would write 5 hassles, and the last was asked to list five events or circumstances that affected them in the last week.
The results from this experiment was "the participants showed significantly more positive affect and satisfaction with life, while also showing less negative affect than the control group".
In plain English: People who wrote down 5 things they are grateful about are happier at the end of the experiment.

The Point: Now that we know this, let's come back to this post everyday to share 5 things we are grateful for. Note: While writing, relive that experience once more. Immerse yourself in that moment again.
