aripiprazole is the chemical name, and will be the generic name eventually. It does not come in generic yet. I just checked so I know that is right. Every once in a while my insurance company sends me a list of generic drugs I could change to from Abilify (I ignore it). The cost of Abilify listed for me at a major pharmacy is $750 a month for 10 mg, 30 tabs. I pay a copay of $75 until I hit the doughnut hole. Then I pay half of the total cost and at catastrophic level I now pay $31.25. I am on medicare and Part D for meds.
