Most disorders aren't that simple. Especially personality disorders, as personalities are typically complex. People, in general, have all sorts of traits and are usually able to refer to those differences despite their moods.

Those with borderline personality disorders, however, have a very difficult time referring back to previous moods ~ we are "in the moment". The result is emotional instability and rocky relationships.
