So sorry MP, this is when the mothers strength has to take over all other overwhelming feeling and problems. That's what mothers are capable of . I believe your daughter will do well, even with her disability, because her body and mind will adapt, and other senses will become stronger. It's just the pain of seeing your child experience this....I understand. I don't blame you for being overwhelmed and scared, but I do believe with time, not only will your daughter adapt, but the entire family will as well. Don't look at the con's (although very difficult) try to look at the glass half full.
