Aw, hon.......13-year-olds are enough to make even the strongest parent crazy! It's written into the contract kids sign when they reach junior-high age: "I promise I will disrespect my parents at every possible opportunity, get in trouble at school, defy authority, hang out with a bad crowd, and refuse to wear anything my mom picks out for me" for starters.

I survived four of 'em, and we're all still on speaking terms so I can tell you that it DOES get better. You may have to wait till they're in their 20s or 30s and have kids of their own, but sooner or later they figure out that you were right all along. Your job is to live through it so that you can enjoy the rewards.
