We have two types here, we have outpatient intensive therapy, which is a day program. And they do not deal with medications at all.
Second we have a semi-inpatient program, you are required to sleep there, it is not in the hospital, but down the street, it's a small facility for mental illness, you are free to leave during the day, and return by a certain time in the evening, they have pdocs who make rounds, and nurses on staff. This offers a lot more freedom than inpatient. It is place for patients that do not need to be held 24/7, and for patients that have been inpatient for a long time, and need a more gradual return to home. They do deal with your meds and issues. Maybe they have something like this available?
