I too suffer from Insomnia and have been learning about friends with similiar personalities that are up for hours on end with maybe one or two hours a sleep. I usually see them on facebook. I also take Lamictal along with Vyvanse, and Effexor. We have to get ourselves into a habit of shaping our mind and body to learn to relax and think about an environment, a person, a smell, a sound (relaxing music) or even using other techniques that will help get ourselves in a routine of getting away from the computer and back into bed to try and retrain ourselves to go to sleep. I have taught my daughters how to self-sooth to go to sleep. They are ADHD. It is very difficult for us to shut off our minds and calm our bodies. I used peaceful music with ocean waves (nothing too fruity sounding) the sound of a heartbeat (lullaby for babies) and took them through each step of how to relax each part of their body to help them fall a sleep.
