sigh...........i get so many PMs from people who don't post here because they fear that someone will think they are stupid, taking up space and have nothing to say and i get PMs from people who post and get ignored.........................so
my point, once again, if used in the wrong way, by one person in a pissy mood, it will be hurtful. i appreciate all of the humour that you've all been able to bring to this.
for those who would feel hurt by the smilie, i'm sorry that it's here and i'm sticking by my feelings about the stupid smilie. maybe it's because i've led so many groups and am aware that a lot of people, IRL, don't have the life tools to roll with all of the punches that are "innocently" thrown at them......so, i feel that there are people here, at PC, that feel inadequate.
i remember feeling scared to death when i first came here. Zen and Emmy were my "guardian angels" or i wouldn't be here now.....and NO.......we don't have to walk on eggshells here. just employ common sense and A LOT of compassion. it could be me tomorrow that is feeling particularly vulnerable...........or it could be you.......
i've never used the "bs" smilie and i don't remember anyone here using it. i believe that i have used the "off topic" sticker and i don't like the expression on the face either.
i could have used it today....... xoxoxo pat
p.s and no, i won't argue, discuss or consider this topic again today. i've had my say. i'm going to finish painting the kitchen ceiling and then go into Austin, for loud music, for the evening.
