I hated having my husband dispense meds also, but going all the way to my pdoc to get my meds was not really a possibility as he's close to an hour's drive away. And paying for a refill every week would be way too expensive. So, my husband locked up my meds. Once a week I'd fill my med container for the week and my meds were in my hands for the week to take on my own. Still much preferred to have the meds completely in my own hands, but when you have overdosed in the past, you kind of have made your bed so to speak . . . .
