Agreed. I recently went to a GP for the first time in years and mentioned my low energy. He did bloodwork and found my Iron was low; now I'm on a prescribed Iron med (I was told by the nurse in his office if he wants me on that med it's because he thinks I'm Anemic). That certainly plays a significant role in energy.
When you were in the hospital did they do bloodwork? If so did they note any deficiencies?
I don't mean to worry you, but have you considered you may have a sleeping problem? For months and months even though my meds were pretty regulated, my sleeping patterns were highly erratic (insomnia, sleeping 3 hours max, drowsy all day long with no feeling of being rested). My P-doc asked me if during the insomnia/short sleep if I had excess energy--read, mania--and I said no. That was when he advised seeing a sleep specialist. Lo and behold, I was diagnosed with Sleep Apnea. No wonder I wasn't sleeping regularly.
I too still have issues with my hypomania/irritability---yesterday I was so infuriated it took all I had not to snap at ppl. I'm going to a gynocologist next month to determine if I have some hormone imbalances.
Hope some of that helps..... I know what you're feeling. It is so hard to get out of the way of it.
