It sounds like you feel shameful for self-cutting. Is there any other way to look at the way that you battled your misery?

For instance, maybe you could reassure yourself that you love yourself ~ scars and all, because they had a big impact on who you are today. We all have our scars. Some are uglier than others. Some more noticeable. But, they're all physical and emotional burdens that we carried in our lives.

You worked hard to get through your burdens...awesome! Maybe you could look at these scars as more of a memory of how far you have come in life. Just an idea..... Gentle hugs to you!
