I miss having a bathtub. I love taking long baths, with a cup of tea and a not-too-sensitive book. We have a sauna instead, and I like that, but on the whole prefer a bathtub.

Poss germ soup trigger: when my choir visited Ireland some years ago, about 16 of us crowded into the hot tub at the hotel spa... people were actually stopping to stare, cos it got pretty crowded. Good times.

I read something interesting yesterday: there's a theory (which has not been proven) that in ancient times oaths were sworn with the oath-swearer holding the balls of the man he swore his oath to. Hence "testify". It could all be, you know, bollocks, but it could also be true.
