The thing with imagination is that it does have free reign. My job (or my imaginary job) as a writer is to harness those wild ideas into a form that others can understand. So, it's not logic or illogic or pure imagination. It's the ability of abstract thinking, which is both imagination and logic together. I can create a world out of a single idea. But you must have the power of logic to communicate it to the world. That's where I'm at now. My ability to harness my ideas is faltering.
I tend to be a discordian, so I don't believe that order is the only way, really. Nature and the world is comprised of chaos and our actions are all chaotic. So, it is a bit contradicting that we of chaos create meaning and strive for order. However, you can harness the chaos and make into things that are beautiful if you know how.
If the world were created out of order, all the stars would line up in neat little rows, yes?
