Facing your fears openly with yourself is the way to relieve anxiety. Forcing them into the unconscious just makes them that much more powerful. They lose their power when they are confronted and just float away and don't come back.

Try the lemon thing when they seem unsurmountable. (You know; cut a lemon in half and squeeze it into about 7 or 8 ounces of ice cold water. Wait 4 hours; if you aren't better, squeeze another one. Two lemons is usually enough to calm the system very nicely.)

Anxiety can put stress on the adrenal glands, increase acidity--not good--lemons are digested as highly alkaline and so soothe emotions and provide a detox for the liver, kidneys, and brain.
