If a person asks you to fix something, it usually means to get it working again as it was. If you know of a better improvement, but that is not what the person wanted, they will not be pleased with it, even if it is better than before. I have learned that in technical support services. If an item they need replaced is no longer available, they have to have that explained to them. They have to then make the choice of what they want done to it. Always go by what THEY want you to do even if you know that something else is better. That will save you a lot of agony and conflicts in the end. Lots of hugs.
