I am so sorry! I have had ovarian cysts for about 10 years now (I'm 36). I understand how much they can hurt, especially when they burst. I actually will run a fever for about 5 hours when it bursts. I use dissociation to escape the pain and also reading a really engrossing and easy-to-read book. It sounds like you already have the chocolate remedy working for you too.
I had a hysterectomy and one ovary removed in 2003. I chose this route after suffering from fibroid tumors and ovarian cysts since 1994. The pain was just too much to take each month. I only had about 5 days per month when I didn't need to take something for the pain. I had all the fibroid tumors removed in 1995 (called a myomectomy) but they grew back within 2 years.
I don't know how old you are or if you would consider removing one ovary (that way the remaining ovary still provides hormones), but I find that only having one ovary with cysts is much less painful. It seems that my left ovary only grows a cyst every 3 months or so.
You said that the cysts are not large enough to consider surgery. I'm not sure this is true and you may want to get a second opinion. If you are in pain from it continually, that may be cause to have either the cyst or the ovary removed.
