Hey again Vincent. I hope you didn't think that Richard was saying you don't have an addiction. I don't think that's what he was implying. I can see where he was going, because for me, when I was realized I was an alcoholic, the beginning of my first step was admitting I had a problem, and then I wrote down all the ways my life was unmanageable because of it. It really helps to see it in black and white, and least it did for me. In the beginning, I'd look back at that list when I felt the urge to drink.

Your situation reminds me of someone with an eating disorder....food is necessary for life, but it can pose a problem. The internet is becoming pretty necessary, and convenient, but in your case you haven't been able to moderate it, is that right? See to me, it's easier being an alcoholic, because I don't have to drink any and start the obsession. But for you, just checking your email or popping in here can start the obsession going, and then you can't get off. I honestly don't know what to say to help. I know what it was like when I tried to moderate my drinking - I was miserable. So I understand what the addiction is doing to you, unfortunatly I don't know what to say to help. I'm here to listen though. =)
