My ultrasound revealed several, and will be going for the next test called scintigraphy,as soon as I see my specialist.
Has anyone dealt with this before? For years my docs would tell me I wasn't hypothyroid, though I had every symptom,it wasn't till I was feeling really bad that the doc said your tests came back, out of the norm range, and have been on synthroid for about 3 yrs.,symptoms started to return again, last Dec.,same crap, "your tests are within normal range". Grrrrrrrrrrr! evidently either the docs aren't up on this stuff or the lab that runs the tests.
Cause it is known and written in many doc journals/books and websites from well known universities, that "normal range" is not for everyone, and plus it just doesn't happen 1,2,3, it is over time this could have been going on,having symptoms but never taken seriously, doc would say "I think you are suffering with depression, there is nothing wrong with you, then they hand out AD's,but that never was the answer, obviously, for this to all have come to be felt and then seeen in the ultrasound.
Oh another good answer to my symptoms that docs will use, "oh, you are peri-menopausal,blah!blah!
Sorry for my ramblings, but I am nervous and dissappointed with the past docs I've seen, some even specialists.
Another thing, I never had high blood pressure,in fact use to be low, well now,it's high and they put me on meds for that.
I just read, hypothyroidism and some other thyroid diseases can cause the diastolic number to increase, and that just started to happen with me. Grrrrrrrrrrr!
So now I'm slightly blown away, just got through with bladder infection, now on meds for sinus infection, and the mysterious on and off low grade fever is back, this fever thing has been on and off since January.
Maybe thyroiditis? I read as it gets inflamed the fever will start, interesting cause I am finding some tenderness, very slight, but enough to make me a wreck.
I'm sure the nonstop stress from 2000 to now, caregiver to mom, losing dad,we had moved 2001,dad died 2002,took mom up north and she had to sell her home, she has ao many health issues, hospitalizations, and dementia to boot . . . yeah, that's some of my stress.
Prolonged stress can screw up one's immune system and other stuff, I guess I am a victim.
My cousin's doc use to say his thyroid was normal, years go by a new doc finds nodules, etc. turned out he had thyroid cancer, and had the thyroid removed.
I'm growing weary of docs saying nothings wrong, brush you off, and then you get a good doc that hits on something all the other docs said, "nothing wrong with you,you have depression or peri-menopause".
Thanks for allowing me to vent, I feel so crappy right now.
